All Our Attic Services, and Where to Start
Start With What the House Is Doing
Four services cover almost every attic we get called to. The smaller jobs sit under the one they belong to, so you can find yours without opening every page.
Which One Sounds Like Your House?
Rooms that will not cool down, or a summer bill that keeps climbing? Start with attic insulation. Air sealing and ventilation are the usual companions.
Insulation that is wet, moldy, or has had rodents in it? It comes out first. See insulation removal, then attic insulation replacement.
Insulation damaged or disturbed in one part of the attic? Start at attic insulation. We check the whole attic, then add more across the floor or remove and replace it, depending on its condition. We do not take small patch jobs.
Drafts and dust coming through the ceiling? See attic air sealing.
Attic too hot, or an attic fan that quit? See attic ventilation and fans. We check the intake and exhaust first, then install electric attic fans where one makes sense.
The Four Services, and What Sits Under Each
Attic Insulation
Rooms that stay hot and a bill that keeps climbing usually start with a thin attic floor. This is where you work out whether your attic needs more insulation on top or the old layer taken out and replaced.

Insulation Removal
Wet, moldy, or rodent-soiled insulation gets vacuumed out and hauled away, and the attic is cleaned and sanitized before anything new goes in. We take out batts and loose fill. We do not remove spray foam.
Attic Air Sealing
Drafts and dust usually come through gaps around the attic hatch, the top plates, and the pipes, wires and light fixtures that pass through the ceiling. We seal what we can reach with foam sealant and caulk before any insulation goes in.
Attic Ventilation & Fans
A hot, stuffy attic is often an airflow problem. We check the soffit intake and the exhaust, clear what is blocked, set baffles at the eaves, and install attic fans, electric and solar, where one makes sense. If your fan has quit, we tell you whether it needs replacing. On an electric fan, a motor-only swap is not a job we take.

Blown-In, Adding More, or Removing and Replacing
People mix these three up. Blown-in is how the insulation goes in. Adding more and removing and replacing are the two jobs it gets used for, and the condition of what is up there now decides which one your attic needs.
Blown-In Insulation
Loose fiberglass or cellulose goes in through a hose and settles around wiring, pipes and framing without the gaps batts leave. We install almost everything this way, whether the job is a top-up or a full replacement. Batts go where they fit better, such as a knee wall.
Adding More
For insulation that is clean and dry but thin or settled. New blown-in goes over the old layer across the whole attic floor. Nothing gets hauled away, so it usually costs less than replacing.
Removing and Replacing
For insulation that is wet, moldy, or full of droppings. It comes out, the attic gets cleaned, we seal the gaps we can reach while it is empty, and new insulation goes in to the depth the attic needs.
We insulate whole attics and do not patch small spots. We do not install or remove spray foam insulation, and we do not install radiant barriers or vapor barriers or do duct work.
